Up, Up, and Away......

How could she say no?

Nancy and I in front of
the Golden Gate Bridge on
our trip to San Francisco.

On July 21st, I proposed to my girlfriend Nancy while in Napa Valley. While on the trip, I woke her up at 4:30 a.m. and told her not to be mad at me. I went on to tell her that I had a surprise for her and that we would be leaving the bed and breakfast in 45 minutes and we wouldn't be coming back. Nancy was a great sport about everything. The reason I had to wake her up early was because I had arranged for us to take a hot air balloon ride at 6 a.m.
Once we arrived, Nancy figured out what we were doing and was very excited. But the real surprise didn't happen for 45 minutes into the trip when I had set up for the balloon company to open up a 20 foot banner that read "Nancy will you marry me." It was at that time that Nancy looked over the balloon towards the ground and read the sign. I heard her scream, "What the heck?" and she was a little surprised and then she went on to say YES!
I am very happy to announce that I will no longer be a single man and I have the opportunity to share my life with one amazing person! I can't wait for you all to met her! We are hoping for a June wedding in Charleston, SC.
